Municipality

Courtemaîche is a former Swiss municipality in the canton of Jura, located in the district of Porrentruy. It merged on January 1, 2009 with Buix and Montignée to form the commune of Basse-Allaine. This village is located north of Porrentruy a few kilometers from the French border. The town has about 660 inhabitants, its area of 890 hectares and its altitude is 398 m. The town of Courtemaîche is part of the Allaine valley with Alle, Porrentruy, Courchavon, Montinez, Buix and Boncourt. The development of the town is supported by the arrival of the A16 motorway, the Transjurane, with an interchange in Bure, about 1 km to the west. The arrival of this route allows greater openness to the Swiss plateau, France and the entire European network. The town is on the Porrentruy-Delle-Belfort railway line, TGV station. From Courtemaîche, you can go directly to Paris in 2h30. One finds in this village: a bakery, a dairy, grocery store with deposit for the post office, a butcher's shop. The other services are in Boncourt or Porrentruy. The Pinos café opens Monday to Friday. There are also: a school, sports clubs, a football stadium and a sports hall

The attic is isolated on the ground, the work was done by a local craftsman. The east side of the house has been restored. A large terrace on the southwest of the house. An ex-store with independent entrance occupies 14 m2 of the house. The stairs have been renovated.
