These gorges are recognized as a geological site of European importance, while the Raimeux forest is considered by the authorities of the canton of Bern as a nature reserve to be protected3. Moutier is part of the Jura and Trois-Lacs region, a tourist destination built around the Jura chain and the lakes of Neuchâtel, Biel and Murten.
