CH-2924 Montignez

Description

On the ground floor of a small building in the heart of a quiet village, a large post office has been converted into a loft with 100 m2 of living space. To the north of the building is a large leisure area where you can meet, picnic and relax in fine weather. The main entrance is on the south side of the loft. A second north entrance is located under the garage roof. This entrance is well protected from inclement weather. The loft features an open-plan kitchen (100 m2 ), a bathroom, a laundry column and two small rooms that were formerly telephone booths.
A very original surface area on which to live very comfortably.

Situation

In the middle of the village, near the post office and starting point for many walks and bike rides.

Municipality

This small village is surrounded by magnificent forests. The roads to Courcelles, Lugnez, Grandgourt or Buix lead walkers up a gentle slope. The Porrentruy-Boncourt train stops at Grandgourt, while Montignez can only be reached by road. A post bus transports people at regular times.
Montignez is one of the oldest villages in Ajoie. Its origins certainly date back to the Gallo-Roman period.
